Bernie and Belle

Belle&Bernie_rop

Bernie and Belle are two super marvelous shepherd/lab mix dogs who have found each other and are now an inseparable duo.  They started out their lives separately with Belle living primarily in an outdoor pen with a littermate who bullied her mercilessly.  Bernie was lucky in that he lived indoors with a caring owner.  However, his owner worked very long hours, and knowing this wasn’t fair to Bernie, sought-out a more suitable home for him.

Luckily, Bernie and Belle not only found each other, but they were fortunate to find an ideal home where they are very loved and very well taken care of.  They now spend their days playfully chasing each other around and playing hide and seek among the pine trees in their new yard.

But, as happy as they are, Bernie and Belle are not the only ones benefiting from their rescue.  Their new family recently lost their beloved dog, and the addition of Bernie and Belle is helping them with their feelings of loss.  There is mutual healing within the whole family unit with human helping animal and animal helping human.
