Rescue Cottage ~ Canine Level

Walk into the canine entrance of the Rescue Cottage and you immediately recognize it as a dog-friendly environment.  The foyer provides a safe, secure and roomy area that makes the transition from nature to man-made habitat easy.  The floor is designed to be gentle on paws and is easy to clean.  The home-like feel, ample space, large windows and dog toys ease any dog’s stress and enable our canine companions to learn to adapt to warm, inviting environments.

The foyer leads into an open, bright and cheerful living room. This room serves a multitude of functions including greeting visitors, providing orientation to the sanctuary, introducing people to adoptable dogs and conducting educational presentations.  A portion of this large room will be an open playroom for the resident canines. 

In the 1,000 square foot dog homes to be built in upcoming construction phases, the living room will have ample room for play and romping as well as cozy spots for lounging and napping. 

The initial Rescue Cottage will include a dining room, kitchen, pantry, mudroom off the side entrance and an office.  In addition, an outdoor play area will give the canine residents a fun outdoor retreat.
