Feed The Beasts 2024

Our Feed the Beasts campaign has been a friendly month-long fundraiser competition between two of our beloved Sanctuary Guest species: The Cats vs. The Dogs! This battle between the beasts started in 2018, with both species competing to see who could collect the most food-type donations. Each year we create Amazon Wish Lists for each species category that includes essential food supplies, supplements, and treats for our furry friends. Whichever team received the most donations from the generous community wins! The winning team is crowned “Superior Species at the Sanctuary” and is allowed bragging rights until the next annual battle begins… And apparently our cats don’t believe the phrase “heavy is the head that wears the crown” because each year they never tire! The cats have beat out the dogs every single year since 2019.

Now, in 2024 with the opening of our first Small Animal Cottage, a third team has entered the race! Introducing our latest contenders: The Critter Curveballs! With the addition of our new competitors, we are introducing a Feed the Beasts: Field Day edition! All three competitors will race against each other to achieve their species-specific goal. By purchasing yummy, vital food from their wish list, you’ll be helping them inch closer and closer to the finish line! From today until October 6th, whichever species reaches their goal first, will win the gold! We will also have additional bonus wins for “Cutest Exercise Outfit”, “Best Training Video”, and “Greatest Athletic Feat.”

Will the cats steal the crown once again? Will the dogs finally come out on top? Or will the small animals steal the victory right under the cats and dogs’ paws?!
