Background Story:
Ophelia is a female Black Syrian Hamster that comes to us from a hamster rescue in Maine. The rescue heard about our grand opening of Suzanne’s Place, our first small animal cottage, and contacted us seeking assistance with placing seven hamsters. We welcomed a group of eight hamsters from the rescue in July of 2024, when Ophelia was about a eight months old.
During her time with us, we learned that Ophelia loves to be picked up, and will even walk right onto your hand! She’s quite funny and will take treats and stash them to enjoy later! She’s very curious and loves to explore new sights during her free roam time!

At 9 months old, Ophelia has such a friendly personality! She loves to be picked up and likes walking around on your lap! She will take treats directly from your hand to store for later. Some of her favorite activities are running on her wheel, exploring her habitat, and having supervised playtime!
