Canine Volunteer Programs

Teach Group Training Classes

Volunteers in our Canine Classes are trained to assist and instruct reward-based, positive reinforcement classes that help community pet guardians build a better relationship with and understanding of their dogs.

Bond with Our Sanctuary Dogs

Canine Sanctuary Volunteers provide activity and socialization to our residents through walking, interactive play, training, field trips, and even relaxing evening visits! These important interactions allow our dogs to gain enrichment, behavioral skills, and comfort while at the sanctuary awaiting their new homes.

Partner with Our Local Animal Shelters

Volunteers in our Adopt-A-Shelter program partner with local Animal Control Officers at municipal shelters to provide enrichment and training opportunities to dogs awaiting adoption.

Advance Your Career

Long-term volunteers receive access to free educational programming, certification sponsorship, discounted webinar/conference registration, and additional education and professional opportunities.

Connect With Your Community

Canine College volunteers can participate in various community outreach events throughout the year including farmer's markets, donation events, clinics, educational presentations, and more!
