Daisy’s previous pet guardian had plans to move into a new apartment that only allowed two of her three cats. She also had plans for Daisy to be re-homed to a personal acquaintance but the adoption fell through last minute, leaving nowhere for Daisy to go upon her owner’s upcoming move. Our Companions was contacted and we started her in our Re-homing Program with the anticipation of a Sanctuary Room. We were able to welcome the 12-year-old brown tiger cat to our facility at the end of February.
Described as a bit of a couch potato in her previous home, Daisy seems to enjoy “lazy” playtimes with a slow moving worm toy or feather, she loves to lounge in the sun rays, and will very much enjoy a calm, quiet home. Daisy seems to enjoy moments of independence yet really enjoys social snuggle time with her human visitors. She loves a good chin scratch too, but says “no thanks” to belly rubs! Although she had lived with cats in the past, we are told she was still the independent one of the bunch, and has never interacted with dogs. Daisy has warmed up quite quickly and we can’t wait to start her next step of finding a new home!
