Emi
Emi and her brother Ollie were adopted as kittens from friends of the family. Their previous family cared for them for about 4 years, until they decided they were moving to Florida and could no longer care for the bonded siblings. They contacted Our Companions for assistance and we entered both Emi and Ollie into our Rehoming Program as a bonded pair. Their family’s home was about to be put up for sale, therefore Emi and Ollie had a strict deadline to be rehomed prior to then. Thankfully, we did have space at our Sanctuary and welcomed both Emi and Ollie in December of 2024 at around 4.5 years old.
Upon arrival, bonded siblings Emi and Ollie were quite frightened and understandably nervous about this change in environment. Though they look very similar, Emi is the female with a smaller white patch on her chest and has fuzzier fur. Their previous family noted that Ollie was a bit more outgoing than Emi, whereas she tends to be a bit more timid. She is still settling in with us, but is starting to become more curious about playtime and has even been seeking affection from a few staff members! We can’t wait to continue providing Emi and Ollie a stable, loving atmosphere and look forward to seeing how their personalities flourish!
