Programs & Services
Helpline Program
Our Helpline Program consists of dedicated and specially trained staff and volunteers who respond to questions and assist in addressing any animal-related issues, all of which is provided as a free public service. Last year in 2023, we responded to over 4,000 messages from our community.
Adoption Program
Our Adoption Program aims to find a pet who will be the best match for each adopter. Our team provides support from the start of the adoption journey and throughout the animal’s entire life.
Rehoming Program
Our goal at Our Companions is keeping pets and people together. However, when that is not possible, we offer our Rehoming Program where your pet stays in your home while we work with you to find another home.
Dog Behavior Services
Our Dog Behavior Programs provide training education and help build positive, lasting relationships between pet guardians and their canine companions.
Community Cat Program
Our Companions offers resources for community cats, cats living outside, that provides clients with training, equipment, and support to safely TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) cats in their care.
Veterinary Assistance Program
Identifying the growing need for people to have access to affordable veterinary care, we've compiled resources to best meet the need of our community and their pet's health.
Animal Control Resources
Our Companions partners with local Animal Control Officers in Connecticut to provide resources and assistance to animals in municipal shelters.
