Background Story:
Raven is a female Black Syrian Hamster that comes to us from a hamster rescue in Maine. The rescue heard about our grand opening of Suzanne’s Place, our first small animal cottage, and contacted us seeking assistance with placing seven hamsters. We welcomed a group of eight hamsters from the rescue in July of 2024, when Raven was about 2 months old.
During her time with us, we learned that Raven can be quite shy and appreciates her friends being slow and gentle with her. Though she’s not always comfortable with being picked up, she’s getting more comfortable with her friends each day! Similar to an actual raven, Raven the hamster is very intelligent, adventurous, and can even be a bit mischievous! She loves to explore and will climb almost everything in her habitat!

Raven is a rambunctious 4-month-old little girl who loves to explore and climb on everything in her hamster habitat! Running on her wheel is another favorite pastime. She is making great strides in getting used to being handled and would appreciate a gentle and patient person to call her own.
