Scott is a white 4yo guinea pig guest at our Sanctuary. He was well loved and cared for by his pet guardian for 4 years, but when she was accepted to a school in Florida, she had to re-home Scott and her other guinea pig, Tyrone. The guinea pig friends were welcomed to our Sanctuary in December 2024.
Scott and Tyrone lived in adjoining habitats but kept separated unless supervised since Tyrone could sometimes act aggressively towards Scott. Unfortunately, Tyrone passed away suddenly, but Scott has been doing really well adjusting. He gains confidence every day, he is comfortable with us holding and handling him, and has become great pals with our other guinea pig guest named Cowboy! He is a mild mannered piggie, gets along with other males, and really loves his fresh fruits and veggeis! Scott has been prone to eye infections in the past, and had a history of pneumonia and GI statis, but has been healthy and thriving since his arrival. We have found he is a little shy at first, but enjoys a warm embrace when being held.
