Yin

Yin, along with Yang, Charley Jr. and Eddie Jr., previously lived in a home with several other chinchillas. Earlier in 2024, Our Companions had assisted with six of the chinchillas in the home through our Rehoming Program and had successfully found homes for all six. Now, with our small animal cottage open, the owners reached out again for assistance with four additional chinchillas. We welcomed Charley, Eddie, Yin, and Yang to our Sanctuary in July of 2024.

Yin was about two years old when he first arrived to our Sanctuary. Yin, the darker gray chinchilla, is bonded with Yang, the light silver chinchilla. Both chins share a habitat together and would need to be adopted together. Yin and Yang are very under-socialized and often do not like leaving their habitat to free roam in their room, even when people are not around. However, they enjoy activities inside their habitat, like running in their wheel, resting in their hideaways, and enjoying the company of each other.
